What prompted me to write this book, a fictionalized version of my life, is the desire to help someone who might be in the same situation that I was many years ago. My circumstances were very difficult, and I thank the good Lord for saving me. I only hope that if you are one of the people in an abusive situation that you have the same strength to get out of it. I have only highlighted the areas in my life that I feel could help someone. I believe in getting to the point and hence, the shortness of my book. A portion of the proceeds from my book will go to the Women’s Shelter and to the Humane Society. All the poems were written by me, some many years ago. Thank you for reading my story.
