LaToya D. Jones was born in 1983, and was raised in St. Clairsville, Ohio, by her father. All her life she wanted to be in the entertainment industry, with singing in school choirs and writing short stories and poems, some of which were published in the local anthologies. Soon after changing her major and her place of residence, LaToya Jones followed her heart and settled to start a family with her now ex-husband. With nothing but a high school education, LaToya decided to go back and finish her degree, and with that time decided to reach for one of her dreams and write a novel. Even though the story is fiction, LaToya added her personal experiences from her struggle of being a single mother and divorced. In November 2007, her life was turned up side down in a very dramatic way, and LaToya wanted to show others that they are not alone. They can reach dreams even when it feels like the world is against you.
