I am delighted to have been invited to provide some text for this book. I first met Chris back in the 1980s when he was a student in one of my university classes. At the time I was impressed with the quality of not only his mind, but his poetry. His poetry today still impresses me. His elegance of words, his usage of metaphor and flow provide one a vivid and daring portrayal of the mind of the artist. He excites with his work! I read through the manuscript he supplied for this book, I Walk Naked into a Cloud. From the first poem to the last, I was captured, weaving my mind around these brilliant, effective mind-pictures Chris G. Vaillancourt has created here. At the finishing of the last poem, “Contract,” I could only issue one word: “WOW.”
