Danielle is a teenager who is merely starting to find her niche in society. She is a typical youth who has insecurities and anxieties, partly attributed to the dysfunctional household she grows up in. Her parents constantly argue and Danielle and her siblings think it normal for a couple. One day, to her great dismay, her father leaves them, and she is extremely affected. Her family then falls apart completely, leaving her to move in with her boyfriend Patrick and his parents. This creates a strain on their young relationship and it too falls apart. She rebels and seeks refuge in drugs. Her life as a woman takes a tangled path, filled with failed relationships, addiction and heartache. She finds inner strength through her children and family. Her true love comes to her rescue. She then realizes that love was with her all along.
