I started to write this story when our granddaughter, Megan, was about two and she called her Aunt Nicole, “Annycole.” I thought that that was just too cute of a word not to make something from it, so I did.

I have written a short story about a small fairy named Annycole who was lost in a storm. A young three-year-old girl finds her and puts Annycole in her sundress pocket and carries her to her home. She gets out her markers and crayons and starts to draw Annycole a map home, going past many fields, farms, and animals, asking them if they knew where the fairies lived.

It's a sweet child's story showing compassion to others.
