Product Description
This is a story about a very smart old hen. Mary is different from the other chickens. Mary is short and very round and she has a full coat with beautiful brown feathers that cover her legs and her feet. She is the oldest hen in the hen house. Because she is old Mary isn't laying eggs daily so she keeps and eye on the eggs she lays. But Mary becomes sad because her eggs keep disappearing. Then she lays one more egg. But after a couple of days the egg is gone. Mary stays close to the hen house to find out where that one last egg went. Mary finds out which hen has her egg. Mary waits to see which one is hers. A chick grows up looking like her with feathers all the way down to her feet so Mary finally realizes that this chick came from her very own egg.
