When Thomas Graycloud, a young Blackfeet Native American, learns of the assault of his younger sister, his devastation and guilt lead him to call upon a dark force and Native American legend known as the Ghost Dancer to avenge her. Swept up in the gruesome and ritualistic death and destruction of seemingly unrelated individuals at the hand of the Ghost Dancer, Thomas must turn to his grandfather and a beautiful Lakota deputy, Nita Crow, for help in sending the Ghost Dancer back to his own world before there is more bloodshed.
