Ajabelle Allenberg was a simple girl. But her life was filled with abuse. She watched others being abused, and was sent from place to place to escape it. She tried to remain strong but fell into a deep depression. This led to her being locked up in many psychiatric wards during her later adolescent years.

An Acorn in a Nuthouse tells Aja's story, and illustrates that through Christ we can overcome anything. He can take all of the darkness in our lives and make it light. We can all grow from acorns into oak trees.
