Star Burch writes so that she can leave a piece of herself behind, a piece for immortality’s sake in a sense. It’s not about the pain, the rejection or the emptiness inside; it’s about love, forgiveness and reconciliation with God. Life can be so empty and full of human secularism with an outpouring of hatred towards Christianity. Christianity isn’t to blame; it’s the only way to total freedom through Jesus Christ. This is my opportunity to share with the world my love affair with God through poems. To share how he pursued me, he shared in my pain and suffering, and now I’m able to share in his joy and redemptive power. I’m sharing my struggle; I’m sharing my darkest moments. Through Christ everyone has an opportunity for God to take us and make us all something beautiful.
