The current economic condition has been a blow to America as a whole. I decided to put my angst on paper, as a snapshot, in an attempt to help others. I have experienced firsthand the emotional devastation and despair of being “packaged” after twenty years of climbing the career ladder, and then having that ladder pulled out from under me unexpectedly. I have been in the shoes of the manager laying off employees, with the assurance that my input, knowledge and commitment was important, only to find out that it was all superficial and no one is “safe”!
