Rachel shares her fond memories at Buckskins Joe’s, a Wild West tourist town just outside of Canon City. When her family moves to La Junta, the recurring nightmare began again, only this time she would lose her pure innocence to the man she is about to meet. Rachel expresses how she felt during and after the time of the sexual abuse, which caused her to lose a part of herself, and Rachel shares her version of experiencing her soul dying over and over again. At the time of the events in this story, Rachel was at least eleven years old and had two birthdays when she finally escaped her perpetrator.
