Everyone reacts in a different way when they hear bad news. Hearing that your child has autism is a huge example. First reactions are usually blaming themselves and wondering what they have done wrong. Then after being assured it was not their fault, each individual has their own way of dealing with the news. Writing poems became my way of dealing with it. I hope that maybe someone can find a touch of comfort in reading my poems as I have found in writing them. These poems are based on true experiences of my sons, Chris and Andrew.
