Zack Pickitt walked out of Yuma prison with only one thing on his mind, finding the man that hired him to nighthawk a herd of horses, stolen horses. He took the job because he was broke and hungry. He meets the rudest woman he had ever met, he calls her, 'That Woman'. Then he buys and tames the wildest horse in the country. After stopping a runaway stage he loses his horse, but not to worry, the horse finds Zack before he can do anything stupid. He wins the door prize at the general store. While having a drink at the saloon he stops a shoot out. He overhears a plot to kidnap someone and kill the sheriff. He foils the bandit's plans but is badly wounded. Then he finds out that his worst nightmare has come true, 'That Woman' is now his nurse and the bandits want him dead.
