Corey was curled under his bedspread as he envisioned blue skies, a cooling breeze, and flying. As his subconscious took him sailing across the mountain tops, peaceful colors dissipated and total darkness replaced his dream. “Corey, I am calling you home very soon. You’ve done a wonderful job on earth. I have an assignment for you. Do not be afraid; I will be right there holding your hand.”

Corey jumped out of bed, frantically searching for the identity of his killer. After scanning the empty room, he took a deep breath, slowly exhaled, and spoke. “Okay, God…I can do this…as long as you hold my hand. Just, please, don’t make me do it alone.” He returned to the comfort of his bed and allowed faith and peace to permeate his body and soul. Corey accepted his fate and anticipated his last moments of life on earth.
