Life is an ongoing learning experience and from the mastery of ABC’s, reading skills follow. Reading introduces vast fields of knowledge with infinity the limit. My education has taken me through high school, college, and medical school, and continues on a daily basis in the practice of medicine. Along this pathway people and events have graced my life. Many years I consumed education to attain the next level of achievement, and ultimately a profession. Looking back at life through years that have passed all too quickly, I realize there was much more than education occurring. The book, Impending Wisdom, concedes the importance of knowledge, but concludes wisdom reigns supreme. Education is obtainable by all, but the wise man realizes it alone does not complete the soul. Wisdom allows us to reflect on our lives and determine what has significance and meaning. Ultimately, each man must decide for himself.
