I am considered a dark poet. I am often channeled from spirit animals or people trying to get a message through—hence, this explains my often uncanny ability to be able to write on subject matters and emotions once totally foreign to me. As a result, a myriad blend of realism and illusion are always a part of the idealistic mix of my writing. I also deal more with the power of metaphoric imagery than rhyme, meter or disciplined structure. I focus more intently on nostalgic, impactual context, setting a mood from the power of free-flowing verse, interceded with stream-of-consciousness wordplay style.
I grew up physically, mentally and verbally abused for the majority of my life, but I see myself as a survivor, not a victim. Bonding with nature and animals, and writing since the early age of nine saved me. I hope others who have been through similar, horrific experiences find healing within my humble, often truthful words. Let the healing begin.
