It took Rick a long time to understand the oxymoron of sweet revenge; doing to others as they had done unto him.

His luck ran out thirteen years ago, when he was busted in a drug deal and beaten to death by three bad cops. At least, they thought they killed him.

Rick survived and was found at the bottom of a sewer by “Doc”—the head of an underground organization (The Method). Doc chooses to help Rick find and kill his three assailants.

Rick’s first victim has a pet. Through a twist of events, the beast becomes Rick’s. Dog protects Rick, and he even kills for Rick. Dog transforms into Rick’s lethal weapon.

A series of events leads Rick’s mission off course and The Method starts getting fed up with trails of dead bodies. While seeking out victims and killing anyone who gets in the way, Rick never realized that it was Always Dog who was preying on him.
