This book explores the devastation that abuse can have on the victims and their families. It is a compilation of poetry, pertaining to various types of abuse, as told through the eye's of the victims. It is sensitive, heart-felt, and may bring the reader to tears. Within each abused person is a voice, telling them that they deserved what they got, and that they got what they deserved because they were “bad people”, and that voice haunts them daily. It is not easy to silence the voice in your mind, but it can be done. There are numerous types of abuse, and some people remain in abusive relationships because that is what they believe they deserve.

The purpose of this book is to let abuse victims know that they are not alone. It will also provide a voice which perhaps you do not have the strength or courage to use. For those who have been abused, you are no longer victims, but adult survivors. That, in and of itself, is something to be very proud of. God bless you all.
