Product Description
In 1882 three men massacre six people as they are traveling from Kentucky to Virginia. The lone survivor, a woman, identifies the men and the sheriffs from both states apprehend two of the murderers, sons of the Kentucky patriarch. While being escorted back to Virginia for trial, the men are shot by a grandson of the Virginia patriarch causing the Kentucky clan to retaliate. This escalates the feud and leads to other killings and several raids by both sides. The heads of the feuding families are honorable men whose word is their bond but not all of their kinfolks honor the terms of the feud that the patriarchs have agreed to. Two newspapermen, one from each state, try to mediate peace between the two families. Amidst the atrocities of this conflict a romance develops between a young boy and girl as they come of age.
