Box Score of Violence is a collection of fictional short stories that show the darker side of America's favorite pastime. Some of the characters include a jealous baseball player who is given a surprise birthday party by his wife; a devil who wants to try out for a major league team; a depressed ballplayer who travels back in time; an owner who will stop at nothing to get rid of a failing player with a ten-year contract; a player who wishes he was never born; a pitcher who doesn't get along with his catcher.
