These fictional memoirs of four college friends, each from a different part of the country and background, starts in 1915 and follows them through their part in WWI. In the beginning where they learn to fly from a man giving rides in his 1912 Curtiss Pusher at a fair outside Syracuse, New York, to flying an array of British war planes in battles that nearly claim each of them. The exploits for all of them, the friendships bonded, the loves kindled, the horrors of war and the humor that can only come from that day and time is remembered by one of them.
