Teacher, Mary Provens, tells a story of abuse and a voice that coaxed her to enact its plans for murder. As her story progresses; Mary tells how the voice made her murder her husband, and buried his body. Then she must lie about him leaving to cover up her crime. Taunted by a child that looks like him, she tells how she began punishing the child. When his classmate/girlfriend interferes and the voice decides the girl must go. Mary decides to get rid of the little girl and the girl goes without a fight. In celebration, the voice becomes flesh to satisfy Mary's need for affection, but not without a price.
